Teacher Jobs: Making extra money as a teacher

by admin on March 16, 2011

Good Morning. Hope you are having a wonderful day. We’ve talked a lot on the blog about saving money – over the next few weeks we’re going to be talking about making some extra money… and no we won’t be talking about stuffing or licking envelopes and we won’t be talking about things that don’t work. We will also be talking about methods that don’t take you years to start, most of these methods should take you a month or less to get started.

Today we’re going to talk about a great way for teachers to earn some extra money. This isn’t limited to teachers, if you enjoy helping your child do homework and love kids then this could be a perfect opportunity for you.

Tutors make around $25 – $50 hour. If you get just two students that you tutor twice a week that could be an extra $100 / week or $5200 a year. The process for starting a tutoring service is pretty simple.

1. Setting up your business.
2. Finding your students.
3. Setting up where you’re going to tutor.
4. Conducting the tutoring session.
5. Need more – go back to step 2.

We’ve found a great guide for starting a tutoring business which you should check out.
