This week we want to continue our series on saving money on your wedding.

Today we’re going to talk about saving money on your honeymoon.

Here are some ideas for saving money on your honeymoon.

1. Ask for the honeymoon as a gift. This would be a great idea for both parents, they could pitch in to pay for it. If they’re broke from helping pay for the wedding you can let the folks you invite to the shower that you’re planning on a honeymoon and they can pitch in for the trip (instead of buying another gift).

2. Stay at home. The most important part of the honeymoon is getting to know your spouse.
a. Since you’re staying home and saving money on the flight you can always stay at a nice hotel near your area.
b. Some other really great ideas can be found here - http://www.creativehoneymoonideas.info/cheap/honeymoon-at-home.htm

3. We give many different ideas about saving money on travel at this site. You can check those tips for saving money on vacations. http://www.gasmileageguide.com/gas-savings-blog/category/saving-money-on-vacations

Enjoy your weekend.
