We made it to our hotel at about 5pm or so. Our hotel offered free shuttle service every hour. We also asked the hotel desk folks if they had any discounts that would be useful for us in our adventures in the Mall of America. They offered us a coupon (half off) the coupon book. Even if you don’t get a coupon for that book I would highly recommend it. It paid for itself many times. There were hundreds of coupons everything from free stuff (like a Frosty from Wendy’s) to percentage off deals for some of the stores. You will need to pay close attention to the details for the coupons (example - a percentage off if you spend $50 bucks).
The first shuttle left in the morning at about 10 am - so we unpacked our stuff and got ready for the next day. At 10 am we took the shuttle and it took about 5 minutes or so to make it to the Mall. We were dropped off at the front entrance of the Mall.
The Mall of America is huge, but it’s setup so that it’s pretty easy not to get lost. It is setup on the points of the compass - East / West / North / South, so just pay attention to the entrance you go into the Mall from.
We’ll conclude our story tomorrow so stay tuned.
