Flood Insurance

Flood Insurance

Many of you have probably seen on the news about the flooding in SE Kentucky (Pike County), Pikeville is about an hour from where we live. There was a storm that went thru there Saturday night and dropped seven inches of rain in a few hours over portions of the county.  It doesn’t matter where you live, if it rained 7 inches you or someone close to you would be flooded.  Flood insurance doesn’t cost very much. Regular insurance normally does not include flood insurance. If you are unsure then you need to review your policies with your agent.

The rain came so fast and so hard that no one had very much time to react and save anything. My sister was caught up in the flooding again and it got almost to the top of her kitchen table. She had flooding previously last year around Mother’s Day and they had just gotten done rebuilding things.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as I can only imagine what she is having to deal with.
