As we change seasons into fall, below are some links that you’ll find useful as you work on finding some free (or low cost things to do).

Remember playing in the leaves when you were a kid.. if you don’t remember doing that, then why not give that a try (with your kids of course).

Search your local / city sites - state parks site for some fun things to do. Here is an example of something you may find.

In our area there is a festival about every weekend. You can spend a wad of cash, but you can also spend nothing… here are some tips for that.

1. Eat before you go (we do treat ourself to the funnel cakes).

2. Watch the parade (if you’re like us you’ll come away with a couple of bags of candy… which you can give out to trick or treaters).

3. Most of the vendors, won’t have a set price… negotiate, especially on higher priced items.

4. If they have a carnival, and you want to go, figure out the days when discounts are offered (or) as people are leaving offer to buy their extra tickets. They aren’t using them anyway and they may let you have them, or buy them for half price.

Have a wonderful Friday.
